The bill is anywhere in the ballpark of $1500-$1900, this is an extremely serious issue, as this chain breaking/ misaligning the components in the motor can completely destroy the engine. If no damage is done already, you're lucky. If it's anything less than the timing chain, you are extremely lucky.
